Applicants will be invited to attend a full Town Council meeting at 7.00 pm on the evening of Tuesday 20th February 2018 at Brough Community Centre. At the meeting consideration will be given to the applications and short 5 minute interviews will be held. Co-option of the successful applicant will take place at the meeting.

Under Section 17(4) of the Electoral Administration Act 2006 applicants must be at least 18 years old, be a qualifying commonwealth citizen, be an elector, or have in the last 12 months resided in the parish, or within 3 miles of it, or occupied as owner or tenant of any land or premises therein or had his/her principal or only place of work therein.
PETUARIA COMMUNITY AWARD 2018
Elloughton-cum-Brough Town Council's Petuaria Community Award has been created to recognise the hard work and determination of volunteers in Elloughton and Brough. To celebrate those who selflessly give up their time for the benefit of the community. The award is for an individual volunteer not a group of volunteers. The award is glass trophy to keep and a shield to hold for a year. The Award Ceremony will be held on Saturday 7th April 2018, 4.30 - 6.30 pm at the Petuaria Centre.
Nominees must live in the parish, must be doing or have done voluntary work in the parish or have made a difference to people's lives in the parish. The project(s) involved must operate on a non-commercial basis.
